Industrial Products Network Update for Friday, May 23, 2025

Date
May 23, 2025

OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE
Our service performance remains steady as we approach the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Despite storm activity and high wind events affecting the network's core earlier in the week, car velocity remains strong and well above the average for April. Terminal dwell continues to trend low, although it is slightly higher than the previous week; it is nearly 6% lower than last month. Local service is relatively unchanged from last week and slightly lower than the previous month, at above 90%.

MEMORIAL DAY OPERATING PLAN
Train service will not be curtailed due to the holiday; however, BNSF plans to minimize the number of yard, local and road-switch assignments at terminals on Monday, May 26, consistent with customer activity and volume demand. Connecting carriers who have reduced operations for the holidays may cause delays on interline traffic. Please refer to Demurrage Tariff 6004-C to review the free time and charges for Memorial Day.

SERVICE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD
The central and southern Plains are facing an active weather pattern through Memorial Day weekend and early next week, marked by severe thunderstorms, heavy rainfall and potential flooding. BNSF teams are closely monitoring conditions in the region, particularly flood-prone areas of the network.

Most other areas of the BNSF network will experience favorable operating conditions, and no other significant severe weather is expected at this time.
