BNSF Agricultural Products 2025 Memorial Day Operating Plan

This year, the Memorial Day holiday falls on Monday, May 26. Memorial Day is not considered a holiday for shuttle services. Agricultural trains will run as usual, and Grain Operations will maintain full coverage during this time. 

CARLOAD TRAIN SERVICE
While carload train service will continue uninterrupted on Memorial Day, BNSF intends to limit yard, local, and road-switch assignments at terminals on Monday, May 26, in line with customer activity and demand. Please consult Demurrage Tariff 6004-C for details on free time and charges applicable for Memorial Day. 

Note that connecting carriers with reduced operations due to the holiday might result in delays for interline traffic.

For interactive tracing 365 days a year, please use BNSF’s Tracing web tool by logging into the BNSF Customer Portal with your username and password and selecting the Trace tab on the Home page. Customer Support will maintain a limited staff on Memorial Day. Normal coverage will resume on Tuesday, May 27.
